Many people feel a strong affiliation and bond with the Sea, often due to past association or when hailing from seafaring families. Otherwise, it may simply be as result of happy and memorable times spent nearby or upon the sea.
As such, it is not an uncommon wish for people to have their ashes scattered at sea…..
We are able to offer this service throughout locations (of your choosing) along the beautiful North Pembrokeshire and South Ceredigion Coast and within its River Estuaries or Tidal Waterways, throughout the year.
We can offer you the services of the boat fully skippered in order to get you to your desired location, to scatter your loved ones ashes.
We are able to liaise with you directly to agree your preferred embarkation point, preferred route and final destination, as well as your preferred cruising speed and duration of charter. We are also able to provide exact details of the latitude and longitude of scattering should you ever wish to visit the spot in future (a certificate being available if required).
We can assure you of our utmost care and sensitivity at all times and can play as large or small a role in the proceedings as you wish. Furthermore, we will be happy to accommodate varying religious and cultural requirements.
The vessel is commercially coded to take six passengers with Skipper plus one crew.
Alternatively, we can undertake the scattering at Sea for you independently, all as per you specific requirements and instructions.
The vessel is a very manoeuvrable and versatile craft which enables us to access areas and locations which larger /non powered vessels would not be able to reach safely. However, we would note that there is no shelter available on board so suitable clothing is essential.
Whilst we are obviously restricted by tidal and weather / sea state factors, we will work closely with you to ensure that we can best meet your specific needs to ensure a memorable and appropriate service is provided.
Charges
These will be tailored to suit your exact requirements. We work closely with a number of local funeral directors and will be happy to liasie with them directly should you wish. Alternatively, we will happily discuss options with you and your family directly and can advise you of costs accordingly.
Environmental considerations
There are no legal permissions or licences required to scatter ashes at Sea.
All we would ask is that all tributes or artefacts placed into the sea are of a fully biodegradable nature so as to avoid any damage to the marine environment and wildlife.
